How Invisalign®Works

A set of clear aligners are worn during the Invisalign process to gradually straighten teeth. There are no metal brackets or wires on these removable and fitted aligners. They are made of the patented thermoplastic material SmartTrack®, which securely fits your teeth. Since each aligner in the sequence promotes a slightly different position than the one before it. The overall correction improves consistently and gently.

Prior to starting Invisalign, a patient must have a consultation to go over the course of treatment and have their teeth examined. During this appointment, we will create a precise, personalized digital treatment plan that demonstrates to the patient how their smile will change over time. In order to construct an accurate model, we will collect digital scans, X-rays, and photos of the patient’s teeth and mouth after they give their approval for the plan. For the creation of specially sized trays, this information is sent to the Invisalign laboratory.
